EmpowerEd: Classroom Teaching Assistants & Learning Support Assistants Strand

Why We’re Including a TA/LSA Strand

We’ve built a small strand within the Summit specifically for classroom teaching assistants and learning support assistants because we’ve seen the magic that happens when they’re equipped, empowered, and connected to the broader vision of learning. Our sessions are practical, encouraging, and designed to immediately elevate the way support services personnel work with all learners—including highly able, gifted, and twice-exceptional students.

Whether you're a new assistant or a seasoned one, these sessions are designed to help you level up with tools, strategies, and confidence.

What We’ll Cover

  • Supporting students in small-group instruction

  • Navigating challenging behaviors with empathy and clarity

  • Recognizing and responding to giftedness and twice-exceptionality

  • Making strategic observations that support data-informed teaching

  • Understanding common learning differences and disabilities

  • Using group work strategies that promote equity and engagement

Reduced Rates & Financial Assistance

Equity of access is a priority at HAGT. We offer significantly reduced and affordable rates for classroom teaching assistants and learning support assistants. We want to make sure cost is never a barrier to professional growth for all. If additional support is needed, you are encouraged to apply for financial aid.

Supporting Students is a Team Effort

TAs and LSAs are often the consistent thread across classrooms, subjects, and student needs. By investing in their development, we strengthen the whole school. We encourage your participation at the CFA Summit and in this special strand.
