Three Comprehensive Courses
Course 1: Building Culturally - Rooted Legal Frameworks for Gifted Education
Course Overview (Duration: 10-12 hours)
This foundational course explores how cultural values, philosophical traditions, and legal requirements shape gifted education in Latin American contexts. Participants will develop culturally responsive approaches while understanding compliance requirements across the region.

Understand evidence-based definitions of giftedness within Latin American cultural contexts
Navigate legal and policy requirements across major Latin American countries
Develop culturally responsive identification and advocacy strategies
Create compliant programming that honors both international standards and regional values
Outcome: An assignment →Do we want them to develop a draft institutional framework that is tailored to their school or regional context?
Course 2: Identification, Assessment, and Twice-Exceptional Learners
Course Overview (Duration: 10-12 hours)
Develop comprehensive, culturally responsive identification and assessment protocols while understanding and supporting twice-exceptional learners. Includes current research applications and program evaluation strategies for diverse Latin American populations.
Learning Objectives
Implement bias-free identification practices across linguistic and cultural differences
Recognize and support twice-exceptional students effectively
Apply current research findings to assessment and programming decisions
Design evaluation systems to monitor program effectiveness and student outcomes
Outcome: An assignment: Design a Culturally Responsive identification and support toolkit, tailored to their school/regional context
Course 3: Programming, Implementation, and Sustainable Practice
Course Overview (Duration: 10-12 hours)
Design and implement comprehensive gifted education programs that are culturally responsive, legally compliant, and sustainable. Focus on service delivery models, community engagement, and long-term program evaluation and improvement.
Learning Objectives
Design appropriate service delivery models for diverse international school contexts
Implement sustainable programming with community support and stakeholder engagement
Develop comprehensive evaluation and monitoring systems
Create advocacy strategies for policy development and systemic change
Outcome: A Portfolio with the mini assignments where they develop an implementation plan for a sustainable Gifted Program (delivery model/multi-year implementation roadmap/community engagement/program monitoring and evaluation/advocacy plan)
