Before you begin
Your pre-course tasks
1
Plan your learning schedule
This is a self-paced flex course with a 9-week window in which to complete all content. While you are free to move as quickly as you like, we recommend setting a personal schedule at the outset to help you stay on track. Managing your time proactively from the start will make the experience more productive and rewarding.
2
Join your Google Classroom
Your Google Classroom will be available on the first day of the course. Please ensure you join it as soon as it becomes accessible, as this is where you will submit all of your assignments and receive feedback from your instructors.
3
Read and complete the AI Policy
Within the Getting Started module you will find the AI Policy for this course. Please read through it carefully and complete the form in full before engaging with any other course content. This is a required step before the course begins.
Things to keep in mind
How this course works
Submitting assignments
Any lesson that includes an assignment will have a dedicated submission button. Clicking it will take you directly to the submission link on Google Classroom. Please make sure you submit every assignment by clicking the button or finding the assignment on Google Classroom — this is how your instructor will be notified and how your work will be recorded.
Accepted submission formats
Please submit your work as a .docx file, PDF, Google Docs link, or as a video. These formats are easy for you to edit, and allow your instructor to go through your assignment and provide feedback without difficulty.
Your schedule, your pace
This is an asynchronous course. We have not included specific due dates for assignments, and while we encourage you to keep up with the suggested module schedule, how you manage your time is up to you. Any pending assignments must be completed within seven days of the course end date in order to receive instructor feedback and your certificate of completion.
Certification requirements
To receive your course certificate, you must complete all major module assignments and a minimum of 85% of reflection and mini-assignments. To receive the full HAGT Neurodiversity Support Specialist Certification, you must successfully complete Levels A, B, and C.

Level B: Integrated Practice

Level B builds on Level A by focusing on practical strategies to support students with common learning differences. LSAs deepen their understanding of specific disabilities, refine small group teaching techniques, and enhance collaboration with school teams. Through case studies and targeted interventions, participants learn to transform observations into informed support plans. These skills are essential for addressing more complex learner profiles in Level C.
