The HAGT PRISM© Questionnaire (Profile of Reasoning, Interests, Supports, & Motivation) is a free, interactive tool that generates a personalized learning profile for your child, revealing their interests, thinking patterns, motivations, and ideal learning environment.

Developed by the HAGT Collaborative, it is designed for students from Grade 2 through Grade 8 and explores four dimensions of how your child engages with the world, turning their responses into a rich profile you can use to support them at home and advocate for them at school. Getting started takes fewer than two minutes. Sign up by entering your email address; once you confirm it, you will be directed straight to the questionnaire. Your account is where your child's profile will be saved, so you can return to it anytime.

Your Child Takes the Questionnaire

The questionnaire is scenario-based and interactive, with age-appropriate versions for younger learners (Grade 2 to Grade 4) and older students (Grade 5 to Grade 8). It typically takes 20 to 40 minutes for your child to complete and feels more like an exploration than a test.

Their PRISM© Snapshot Is Generated

Once complete, a personalized snapshot is created and saved to your account. Log back in anytime to view it. Use the free snapshot to start conversations at home and at school or go deeper with an optional detailed report and a one-on-one consultation with our HAGT specialist.

Once your child completes the HAGT PRISM© Questionnaire, they receive a personalized free PRISM© Snapshot. Everything in the PRISM© Snapshot is visual, accessible, and designed to be used as a reference. It is saved to your account, accessible anytime, and covers:

A deeper interpretation of your child's cognitive profile, including where asynchronous development meets their zone of proximal development.

Practical, specific ways to restructure the home environment to reduce friction and support executive function and autonomous learning.

Identification of the high-complexity pathways and interest areas that sustain deep engagement and flow alongside curated challenges and topics beyond the standard curriculum, matched to your child's profile.

While the PRISM© Snapshot shows you what your child's learning landscape looks like, the PRISM© Profile helps you make sense of it, with expert interpretation, practical strategies, and a tailored plan so you know exactly how to support them at home and champion their needs at school.

Getting Started

  • There is a button at the top of this page that will take you directly to the HAGT PRISM© questionnaire. You can also click here to head straight there.

  • Once you are on the PRISM© page, you will need to create a free account to get started. You will find the option to create an account under the sign in button. It takes less than two minutes to set up.

  • Yes. You will need a free HAGT PRISM© account to access the questionnaire. Simply enter your email address, confirm it, and you will be directed straight to the questionnaire. Your account is also where your child's PRISM© Snapshot will be saved so you can return to it anytime.

  • The questionnaire and PRISM© Snapshot are completely free. The PRISM© Profile, which includes a comprehensive written report and a 50-minute one-on-one consultation, is available as a paid option for families who want deeper support.

  • Yes. Your child's responses and results are stored securely and are only accessible through your account. We do not share individual data with third parties.

  • No. There are no right or wrong answers. PRISM© is not an assessment of ability or performance. It captures how your child thinks and what they gravitate toward, so honest answers give the most accurate result.

  • PRISM© is designed for students from Grade 2 through Grade 8. The language of the questionnaire automatically adjusts based on the grade level entered when creating your account.

  • Not at all. PRISM© is for any parent who wants to understand how their child learns. You do not need a prior assessment, referral, or diagnosis.

About the PRISM© Snapshot

  • Your child's PRISM© Snapshot is saved to your account automatically once the questionnaire is complete. You will be directed to the dashboard with the results of your child’s PRISM© Snapshot as soon as the questionnaire is complete. Log back in at any time at to view it. There is no download option, so make sure you hold onto your login details.

  • The PRISM© Snapshot is an overview covering your child's dominant areas of curiosity, how they approach problems and process information, what drives and motivates them, and the learning environment where they do their best work. It is designed to be a starting point for conversation, with your child, their teacher, or an HAGT specialist.

  • Yes, and we encourage it. It can be a useful reference point for parent-teacher conversations, IEP meetings, or any discussion about how to better support your child in the classroom.

  • Interests and learning preferences can shift as children grow. If your child takes PRISM© again at a later stage, their new Snapshot will reflect where they are at that point.

About the PRISM© Profile

  • The PRISM© Profile is a paid option for families who want to go beyond the free Snapshot. It pairs a comprehensive written report with a 50-minute one-on-one consultation with an HAGT Collaborative specialist.

  • The report provides a comprehensive written interpretation of your child's results, context for what each dimension means, and personalized recommendations for home and school. It goes beyond the Snapshot to give you something you can actively use in conversations with teachers or specialists.

  • You will meet with an HAGT Collaborative specialist to walk through your child's results and report together, ask questions, and discuss next steps. Sessions are conducted online and last 50 minutes.

  • Once your child's PRISM© Snapshot is ready, simply scroll down within your account to find the option to book a consultation and upgrade to the full PRISM© Profile.

  • Yes. All consultations are conducted by trained members of the HAGT Collaborative team with expertise in gifted and twice-exceptional learner support.
